Custom Footbeds
The Pro Ski and Ride offers custom footbeds and supportive insoles for ski boots, snowboard boots, and everyday footwear at our shop in Hunter, NY. We carry options from MasterFit, BootDoc, and Kneed, including drop-in, semi-custom, and fully custom footbeds to suit a variety of needs, footwear types, and budgets.
Custom footbeds can improve comfort, support, stability, and alignment by helping stabilize the foot inside the boot or shoe. For skiing and snowboarding, a properly fit footbed can create a more stable platform inside the boot, which may improve balance, edge control, and overall comfort.
Why Footbeds Matter
Most stock insoles provide limited to no support. A better footbed helps reduce unnecessary movement inside the boot or shoe by supporting the arch, stabilizing the heel, and improving how the foot sits in the footwear.

Our Footbed Fitting Process
Our staff evaluates your feet, footwear, and intended use before recommending a footbed option. For ski and snowboard boots, we consider how the foot sits inside the boot and how the footbed may improve comfort, support, and alignment.
Depending on the footbed selected, we may mold, shape, trim, grind, or adjust the footbed so it works properly with your boot or shoe. Footbed work is performed on site at The Pro Ski and Ride in Hunter, NY.
Boot Fitting Experience
The Pro Ski and Ride has extensive experience with ski boot fitting, snowboard boot fitting, and custom footbeds. Gio Holmquist, son of The Pro’s late co-founder Keith Holmquist, is our head boot fitter and has more than 10 years of fitting experience, with training and accreditations from MasterFit University and BootDoc.
Our fitting experience includes recreational skiers, snowboarders, racers, and athletes with a variety of comfort, support, and fit needs.

Custom footbeds and supportive insoles typically range from $55 to $250 depending on the type of footbed and amount of customization required.
Customers who purchase ski boots or snowboard boots from The Pro Ski and Ride receive 20% off footbeds with their boot purchase.
