At The Pro Ski and Ride, we’ve been tuning skis and snowboards on a Wintersteiger Jupiter for over four years. It’s the most advanced full-service automated tuning machine on the market, and very few shops — especially in the Catskills — have equipment of this caliber. Even fewer have years of hands-on experience dialing it in.

What Makes Our Tuning Different

Stone Grinding (Base Work)
Stone grinding flattens your base to create a smooth, consistent running surface. From there, we add structure that helps divert water from the base, improving glide and consistency in real East Coast conditions. We can:

  • Restore manufacturer base patterns

  • Apply custom structures that often exceed factory performance

Disc Edging (Precision Edge Work)
Our disc edging module grinds edge angles with precision down to a tenth of a degree. We can:

  • Restore factory edge angles

  • Tune to your preferred bevels

  • Perform V-Edge tuning — more aggressive edge hold underfoot with a more forgiving feel at the tips and tails

The result? Better grip on hardpack, smoother turn initiation, and skis that feel alive again.
