Where are you located?

  • We’re located at 7535 Main Street, Hunter, NY—just minutes from the base of Hunter Mountain and about 30 minutes from the NYS Thruway (I 87).

What are your hours of operation?

  • Our shop hours vary seasonally. We are typically open late September through early April. Please check our Homepage or Google listing for current hours. We are open 24/7 online!

How can I contact you?

Do you offer ski and snowboard rentals?

  • Yes! We rent skis, snowboards, boots, poles, and helmets for all ages and ability levels.

Can I reserve rentals in advance?

  • Absolutely—we recommend booking ahead online to save time and guarantee availability, especially on weekends and holidays.

How can I modify my rental reservation?

Please email rentals.theproskiandride@gmail.com to extend, cancel, or modify your rental reservations. Rental reservations can be canceled up to 5 pm the night before the first rental day. Changes cannot be made over the phone.

Do you offer multi-day rentals?

  • Yes, we offer multi-day rentals and seasonal rentals.

When can I pick up my daily rental equipment?

  • Daily rental equipment can be picked up any time after we open (8 am) the first rental day.

What time do I need to drop off my equipment?

  • Rental equipment is due back to The Pro no later than 5 pm the last rental day

What if something doesn’t fit right?

  • No problem! Stop by and we’ll swap out gear or make adjustments on the spot while getting fitted.

Which rental package should I choose?

  • Sports equipment is best for beginners; Performance is best for intermediates; and High-Performance is best for advanced skiers and riders.

Do you offer custom boot fitting?

  • Yes! We specialize in ski and snowboard boot fitting using heat molding, shell punches, shell grinds custom foot beds, and alignment checks. Our fitters are accredited and highly experienced.

Can you fit boots I didn’t buy from your shop?

  • We’re happy to help with boots purchased elsewhere. Our certified technicians can adjust your ski bindings to your new ski boots if needed during your appointment.

How much does boot fitting cost?

Do I need an appointment?

  • Appointments are strongly recommended.

Do you tune skis and snowboards?

  • Yes—we offer an array of services full tunes using our Wintersteiger Jupiter tuning machine. We have the capability to do custom edge angles, premium base structures, and hot waxes.

How long does a tune take?

  • Turnaround can vary, but we usually can get equipment turned around in a couple of days. Rush tuning is available upon request.

Do you mount ski and snowboard bindings?

  • Yes. We mount and adjust all major ski and snowboard bindings, including alpine, race, and Burton EST systems. Safety testing is included with ski mounts.

  • Yes—digital and physical gift cards are available and can be used in-store or online.

What is your return policy?

  • Most unused retail items in original condition can be returned within 30 days for a refund or exchange. Rental and service purchases are non-refundable. Our complete Refund Policy can be found here.

Do you offer free shipping?

  • Most domestic orders over $149 or more ship for free!

Where do you ship?

  • We ship to the USA and Canada.

How will I receive my order?

  • Domestic shipping will be through either USPS or UPS. Shipping to Canada is through DHL.

When will I receive my order?

  • We will make every effort to get your order out ASAP, at the latest within 3 business days. Shipping times will vary depending on the delivery address and congestion in the courier's network.
